You can rejuvenate your face, and create a younger appearance with Perlane. Perlane is a cosmetic dermal filler that is used to enhance facial volume. At the Bay Area laser cosmetic Center, Perlane is injected to treat facial wrinkles and folds, and to improve facial contours in men and women.
What is Perlane
Perlane is a soft tissue injectable that is derived from hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a natural element already present in the body.Unfortunately as the skin ages it produces less HA, and this contributes to loss of volume and reduced hydration.
Perlane is free from animal protein, so there is less risk of an allergic reaction occurring.Perlane has a thicker consistency than similar dermal fillers, and this makes it more effective on deep facial folds. Perlane is often used in conjunction with Botox for improved results.
What is it used for?
Perlane is used to soften prominent facial folds and wrinkles, especially nasolabial folds(lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth). It is also used to restore fullness to facial depressions and facial scars, and also for lip augmentation.
Perlane InjectionProcess
Perlane is injected deep into the skin, where it is able to correct deep folds. A topical anesthetic cream is generally applied prior to treatment, and the procedure lasts for 30 minutes or less.
Results
After treatment, patients are likely to see some improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and depressions. Perlane lifts the skin, and shapes facial contours, creating an improvement in the skin from the cheeks to the chin.
Following treatment with Perlane dermal filler, some swelling may occur and this may obscure the final results. Consequently, patients are advised to wait at least one week to see the full effects of the filler.
