If you would like to get rid of unwanted body hair without having to shave, laser hair removal is the ideal solution. Laser hair removal is fast, effective, and produces long lasting results – but how many treatments will you need.
What’s Involved in Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is a process in which laser light is used to remove unwanted hair. Laser hair removal can be performed on most parts of the body, including the legs, arms, bikini line, stomach, armpits, and back.
Are There Any Side-Effects
There may be minor swelling and redness after laser hair removal treatment, but these side-effects typically resolve within a few days. The skin will be very sensitive after treatment, so clients are advised to wear sunscreen when going outside.
How many Laser Hair Removal Treatments Will I Need?
Most clients will need between 3-5 laser hair removal treatments to achieve optimal results. Sessions are spaced about 4-8 weeks apart.
Multiple treatments are needed because hair grows in cycles, and the laser energy only affects follicles in the growth stage of their life cycle. The treated follicles will shed the hair in the weeks after treatment, and during this time other follicles will enter the growth cycle. These will then be treated at the next treatment session.
After each hair removal session, the hair follicles will be finer, and there will be a noticeable reduction in hair regrowth. Once the required course of treatment is complete, maintenance sessions are generally needed (learn more).
