Enlarged pores are generally found next to or very near the nose. They look a lot like dark spots. Pores oftenswelldue to the effects of overactive sebaceous glands. The sebaceous glands or oil glands produce oil that the skin needs to stay hydrated. However there are times when the glands produce too much oil, and it spills onto the surface of the skin and clogs the pores. Clogged pores can quickly become enlarged, because the oil cannot flow out of them freely.

Treatment
Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy can be used to tighten the skin and reduce enlarged pores. The gentle pulses of light emitted from the IPL devices penetrate deep into the skin, where it is absorbed by discolored pigments.

Treatment also stimulates collagen production. More collagen makes the skin firmer and tighter, and will improve the tone and texture of skin over time. IPL sessions generally last for about 30 minutes or less, and it takes about 6 treatments to achieve optimal results. At the Skin Care Center, they offer IPL therapy to  tighten the skin and minimize pore size.

If you have pores that have expanded and are wondering how to treat those large pores, then IPL is a very effective remedy. In addition, IPL will also improve skin clarity, and boost the luster and brightness of the skin. After treatment your pores will be much less noticeable than they were before.
