Treatment
Treatment with Juvederm only takes a few minutes, as the filler is injected under the skin using a very fine needle. The hyaluronic acid formulation used in Juvederm attracts water, and this ensures that lines are diminished and fullness is achieved.
Depending on the areas being injected the treatment session can take between 15 to 45 minutes. A topical anesthetic is usually used, as well as numbing cream if required.
Safety
These dermal fillers have both been approved by the FDA. Restylane in February 2004, and Juvederm in June 2006.
