Skincare Tips for Your 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s+

If you want to have beautiful skin that’s healthy and glowing, you’re going to have to take care of it. That means sticking to a skin care routine that’s suited to your skin type, and using the right products. For each decade of your life you’re going to have to make some adjustments to that routine, in order to get maximum benefits. Here are some cool skincare tips for your 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s+.

Your 20s …

If you don’t have acne-prone skin, you’re probably enjoying your supple, soft skin at this age, and not thinking about skincare, but if you want to have great skin when you are 50+ it all starts here. Now is the time to protect your skin by moisturizing daily. Use sunscreen that protects from the UVA and UVB rays of the sun, and hydrate at night.

Your 30s …

This is the time you’re going to start noticing some changes, maybe a few lines here and there. Ensure that your moisturizer includes anti-aging ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and vitamin C.  Use a retinol infused night cream to help repair the skin’s DNA.

Your 40s …

Collagen levels are declining and so more wrinkles and lines develop. Age spots may emerge as a result of sun damage, and there will also be some facial fat loss. Use creamy cleansers, add oils to your moisturizing routine to combat dryness, and hydrate at nightime.

Your 50s+…

Skin is usually dry and less elastic due to aging and hormonal changes. Keep using creamy cleansers, and include a serum with peptides, as they stimulate collagen. You may want to consider cosmetic treatment such as dermal fillers to plump up wrinkles, and fill in facial hollows.
