Where Can CoolSculpting Be Used Besides Your Midsection?

Nowadays, treatments like CoolSculpting make it possible to trim stubborn fat and get the body you want, without surgery. CoolSculpting utilizes proven fat-freezing technology to get rid of areas of localized fat on the abdomen and flanks that don’t respond to diet and exercise. But where else can CoolSculpting be used besides your midsection.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical approach to fat reduction that uses controlled cooling to freeze the fat cells.  A patient can expect to realize up to 21% fat reduction after their series of CoolSculpting treatments.

How it works

The CoolSculpting applicator pad works like a vacuum, as it pulls the skin and fat inwards, and cools the fat to a temperature that causes it to crystallize.  The frozen fat cells then die, and are eventually eliminated by the body. Only the fat cells are targeted, so the surrounding cells and tissue are not harmed in any way. Patients can expect to feel some discomfort at the start of the treatment, but this usually goes away as soon as the area is numbed.

Where Can CoolSculpting Be Used Besides Your Midsection

Coolsculpting is commonly used to melt fat on the belly and flanks, but it can also reduce fat on the thighs, back, and bra area. The device also has a small applicator called the CoolMini that is specially designed to treat submental fat. Submental fat is fat that accumulates below the chin, and is also known as a double chin. Freezing the fat cells under the chin gives the jawline a sculpted, defined appearance.
